Ok, so it’s not quite as big a deal as a man on the moon, nor was it REALLY as technically difficult (although…there were moments…), but the accomplishment feels just as awesome right now.
I do believe I can declare the transition to deadcharming.com COMPLETE!
If your blog readers, rss feeds, old links, past bookmarks, or any other gizmo designed to get you here quickly (and we ALL know you want to be here ASAP!) doesn’t work for any reason, drop a comment here and we’ll see what we can do.

[edit: Honest-to-God that last joke was funny when it crossed my brain...so...sorry about that...]

My old RSS feed that pointed to your WordPress blog didn’t show this post. Which is no problem for me, I’ll just update my feed, but I thought you’d like to know so you could make changes or post notices back over in WP-land.

That last joke was funny.
The fact that you think so is the purest endorsement of Matt’s taste in women possible.
I’m so glad that your site remembers my name/email/URL info when I return. That will certainly expedite the process. Kudos on your technilogical accomplishment. I’m impressed and certain I could never do the same.
It was surprisingly more difficult than I had expected. It also has a lag time for DNS propagation that I hadn’t anticipated…so if anyone else is thinking about it, do some research beforehand.

Wow, this looks great. The last time I wandered over here (think it was sometime last week) it was still green.
While I didn’t hate the green, I did hate not being able to change any of the more significant things about the theme (background colors, tiled graphics, header fonts, etc.) and make it feel like it was “mine” in the ways that worked for me.

Leave a comment if you can’t read this = awesome! :P That’s okay, everyone pulls a move like that. I had to call our techno people at work when our entire internet and phone infrastructure crashed. I could call out but not receive calls or emails. They said they’d look at the problem and call me back. Also awesome, in that not really kind of way.
I recommend reading Malesha’s “Quest, I hate thee utterly and from the depths of my soul” (or something like that), for the best response to telcos ever.
Anyways, congrats on the new site! I’m gonna aim for the same once I wrap my head around HTML and Dreamweaver, so you’re totally on a techno pedestal right now ;)
I love Dreamweaver, but I’m more of a textmate guy at this point. XHTML/CSS is totally worth learning if you’re a creative type who wants to have more control over how your web presentation looks.
I wish I could take any credit for the CSS theme I’m using, but I had nothing to do with it. I downloaded it, installed it and then customized the audio player colors to match the theme. No HTML or CSS required.
